- If I wax doesn’t my hair grow in more?
No, that’s an old wives tale. Waxing every 4-6 weeks actually makes your hair grow back finer, softer and more sparse.
- How do I prepare for a body wax?
All you need is a simple exfoliation with a wash cloth before.
- How long does my hair have to be?
It needs to be about 1/4 inch long.
- Who should avoid waxing?
Clients using Acutane, Retin-A or any antibiotics causing increased skin sensitivity. Clients also should not wax 24 hours before or after TANNING.
- Do you offer any products?
Yes, for people who want to ease the pain we offer Relax and no Scream cream. You use that at home about 45 min before your appointment and it relieves waxing discomfort by 80%! We also have Get the bump outta here, which helps with in grown hair, sometimes associated with waxing.
- I'm a little nervous...does waxing hurt?
It depends on your tolerance for discomfort. Try to keep in mind that you are removing the hair from the root, but our fabulous wax specialists will make sure you are as comfortable as possible.
- What is the best way to handle ingrown hairs?
The best way to handle them is to NOT! Don’t fuss with ingrown hairs, because this makes you prone to infection and scarring. If you’re prone to these, talk to your Esthetician who can recommend an exfoliation regimen. Even if you don’t normally get ingrown hairs, still keep your hands off freshly waxed skin, as this can encourage irritation or small pimples.
